The National Tartan Day New York Committee hosted an after-party for internationally acclaimed Scottish band Breabach on February 18 following a phenomenal concert at the Sheen Center in Manhattan. For the band’s first visit to New York City in more than a decade, many from NYC’s Scottish community came out to experience the band’s virtuosic musicianship in person. After the show, the band received a warm (if perhaps loud and crowded) welcome from fans old and new at Sláinte Bar and Lounge.
“It was such a thrill to be back playing in NYC after 11 years since our last visit. What a warm reception and kind hospitality from the Tartan Week team — really such a great bunch of people that we are delighted to be connected with. We hope we can return again soon!” expressed one of the band’s members.
